Snow sure is beautiful, but not if its blocking the sidewalk. Without clear sidewalks, many people like the elderly and disabled are forced into the street.
Most Chicagoland towns and cities encourage business owners and property owners to clear their sidewalks, and many require it.
These municipalities require all property owners to clear
sidewalks:
Algonquin
Chicago
Cicero
Countryside
East Dundee
Elmwood Park
Evanston
Grayslake
Hanover Park
Palos Heights
River Forest
South Elgin
Wheeling

If you don’t see your town on the list, contact your suburban coordinator. Make sure your community knows the importance of clear sidewalks.
