Volunteer Appreciation Party

It is time to celebrate the heroes of our organization — volunteers!

Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Party will be from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 14 at Marcello’s, 645 North Ave., Chicago.

Come hear which superstars lit up our work this year.

We benefit from more than 1,000 active volunteers. This year alone, volunteers logged more than 10,000 hours. They lend a hand at our office, hold a sign at our events, make phone calls to members, represent bicyclists at their local meetings and so much more.

Be on the lookout for an e-mail invitation and more information on our blog at www.activetrans.org.

Safety sash winner

A big reflective congratulations to Matthew Griffin, membership manager, who won the safety sash content at this year’s Member Meeting. Nevermind that he beat a 12-year-old – a win is a win! Thanks to everyone who used their creativity and entered the contest.
