Registration is still open for MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive
Be sure to register before the event to save

If you've been waiting to see what the weather looks like for MB Financial Bike the Drive on Sunday, May 29, wait no longer. The weather forecast looks very good.

There are still several ways to register for the event.

• Register online at www.bikethedrive.org until Friday, May 27 at midnight.
• Register in person Saturday, May 28 at the Merchandise Mart, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• Register the day-of-the-event at Butler Field at Columbus and Jackson. For day-of-event registrations, we recommend arriving as early as 4:30 a.m. so you can sign up and fully enjoy the event. (Day-of price is $55 and does not include a T-shirt.)

All event participants must be registered and must wear their rider numbers and wristbands. The event is a fundraiser that benefits the Active Transportation Alliance, a nonprofit that works on behalf of people walk, bicycle and use transit in Chicagoland.

Traffic advisory: The Active Transportation Alliance reminds Chicago residents and visitors that Lake Shore Drive will temporarily be open only to bicyclists this Memorial Day Weekend for the 10th annual MB Financial Bank Bike the Drive.

On Sunday, May 29, Lake Shore Drive will close to car traffic at 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. from Hollywood Avenue south to 59th Street. Cars will be able to access the Museum Campus via 18th Street and Navy Pier via Illinois Street. Get all the important details at www.bikethedrive.org.
