The bike racks at Soldier Field have been filled to capacity at Bears games this year. The Park District is responding by putting some extra, temporary racks near the North and South entrances to the stadium. Even if the colder weather deters as many people from riding for the rest of this season, the Park District has stated that they are committed to the racks future seasons as well.

The recent storms have left a lot of sand on the Lakefront Trail. Crews have been out working to clear the sand between Fullerton and North Avenue. As of 1:00pm on Friday, however, there is still sand completely covering the Trail from the Basketball courts north of Foster to the crossing at Foster. There is also sand completely covering the Trail at the north entrance to the Oak Street underpass. Both areas are deep and caution needs to be observed in these areas. Please be careful!
