Come see what’s growing in Humboldt Park! Cob Connection invites you to take a biking tour of our four urban farm sites. We’ll guide you through the evolution of a sustainable urban agriculture project, from abandoned lot, to emerging farm, to the produce we supply for local farmer’s markets and food pantries. The tour will finish with a locally grown vegetarian meal served in the candlelit garden (BYOB). Ride a refurbished bike from the Working Bikes Cooperative, West Town Bikes, or bring your own. We roll out from 516 N Drake (Drake and Franklin) at 6 pm and suggest you allow 2 hours for a leisurely tour. Space is limited! To reserve your spot, call 773-346-1205 or visit www.cobconnection.org/. Your $20 donation covers the cost of supplies and staff time, and helps support our green jobs programs. Additional donations are always appreciated. Groups are welcome. If you have particular interests, let us know so we can customize your tour accordingly.
