You're invited to attend the Chicago Group Outings and Member Open House to socialize and network with fellow active and wannabe participants of outings past and to come. We will meet at the Little House "cabin in the woods" which includes a warming fireplace. The event begins at 1:00 pm with an optional short walk. A brief What-We-Do and How-To-Get-Involved presentation will be given later afternoon, followed by a door prize drawing. This get-together is a perfect first-time opportunity to learn more about the local Sierra Club, meet leaders, activists and fellow outdoor enthusiasts. Also learn about outings such as biking, hiking and nature walks as fun and educational experiences that support Sierra Club's motto: "Explore, enjoy and protect the planet." Cost at the door is $5 to be eligible for several door prizes. Participants are also asked to bring a favorite dish of their choosing to share for this potluck tradition.
