I-GO Car Sharing, Chicago’s only local, non-profit car sharing company, was formed by the Center For Neighborhood Technology in 2002 to help reduce the number of cars on the streets of Chicago as well as the harmful greenhouse gas emissions created by too many automobiles on the road.

Just go to www.igocars.org/join and select either the standard I-GO smartcard or the new Chicago Card Plus/I-GO Card, a joint transit smartcard developed by CTA and I-GO that gives you access to low-emission, fuel-efficient I-GO cars across the metro area as well as CTA trains and buses, and Pace buses. I-GO members reserve cars online, over the phone, or via web-enabled mobile device in more than 30 Chicago neighborhoods, Evanston and Oak Park (and more suburbs to come), on an hourly basis, 24/7, and never have to pay for gas, insurance, maintenance or reserved parking!

•   I-GO members have taken 3,776 cars off the road. On average, each I-GO vehicle represents 14 cars removed from our streets.
