The 7th annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic 100K criterium on Friday, July 10 is the first race in the 17 day International Cycling Classic Superweek Pro Tour. The major sponsor is Beverly Bike & Ski -Vee Pak Racing Team.

The Beverly Hills Cycling Classic starts and finishes at 107th and Longwood Drive in the Beverly Hills/Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago. The race begins at 6 p.m. and about 125 professional and elite amateur riders will ride 100K – about 60 miles – in approximately two thrilling hours. The circuit runs on Longwood Drive , Seeley and Hoyne, 105th Place and 108th Place .

A festival of food, music, beverages and more will be held during the Beverly Hills Cycling Classic on the grounds of Beacon Therapeutic School . The festival opens at 4:30 p.m. and the fun continues until 10 p.m. Live music for children starts the entertainment at 4:30 and continues until children are called to the starting line for the Longwood 500 Big Wheel Race at 5:15 p.m. The race is open to children up to age 6, and every child wins a prize.

The International Cycling Classic is a world-class cycling event attracting top riders from the U.S. and many foreign countries. In its 41st year, the event visits locations throughout Eastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, including Blue Island on July 11. Superweek is the longest-running multi-day bicycle race in the U.S. and the world’s largest multi-category cycling event.
