Drive With Care’s goal is to stigmatize and curb reckless driving.

We do that by getting young drivers to talk to each other, educating them on how dangerous speed and distracted driving can be.

We believe that we can cut the number of crashes in half through education, targeted enforcement and street design adjustments.

Building on a previous Drive With Care pilot on Chicago’s Northwest Side, we are going into Chicago high schools and getting teenagers excited about safe driving. The outreach focuses on these specific behaviors:

• Failing to stop for pedestrians

• Failing to stop at red lights and stop signs

• Speeding

• Distracted driving (cell phones and other devices)

We are looking to expand Drive With Care in Chicago high schools.
