Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. on race day

Race Start: 8:00 am

 

Join in the patriotic fun! Whether you are a runner, leisure stroller, exercise pacer or race walker, this event is for you. Be sure to register for our 5K (3.1 miles) run/walk.

T-shirts will be awarded to the first 350 registered participants. Awards will be given for first, second and third place runners in all age categories, males and females. An award will also be given to the best overall resident and non-resident male and female runner. Pre-registration and packet pick-up is available at the Tony Bettenhausen Recreation Center, 8125 W. 171st Street. PRE-REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP CLOSES, WEDNESDAY, JULY 1 AT 9:00 P.M. Packets will be ready for pick-up one week before June 25.

This past weekend kicked off with a big dumping of snow. The streets were not very clear on Saturday morning, so I decided to walk instead of bike to meet my friend at a local coffee shop.
