Senate passes texting ban, but fails to approve pedestrian safety legislation
The Pedestrian Safety Bill requiring drivers to stop for pedestrians (rather than yield) passed the Illinois House of Representatives today on a 60-54 vote. The bill now moves to the Senate.

Yesterday, the Vehicle and Safety Committee of the Illinois House of Representatives passed two Active Trans bills on unanimous votes.
