Transport Chicago conference offers innovative lectures and panels

Chicago’s annual transportation conference, Transport Chicago, focuses on a broad range of transportation policies, issues and innovations. First held in 1986, the conference provides a forum for the general public to interact and exchange ideas with professionals, city officials and other members of the transportation community.

/Transport Chicago’s 2012 conference will be held on Friday, June 1, in downtown Chicago. This year’s program features speakers Tilly Chang – deputy director for planning at the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, and William Millar – former president of the American Public Transportation Association.

Among other topics, this year’s conference will include presentations on Chicago’s new bike lane initiatives, safe cycling at intersections and pedestrian safety.
