Chicago’s annual transportation conference, Transport Chicago, focuses on a broad range of transportation policies, issues and innovations. First held in 1986, the conference provides a forum for the general public to interact and exchange ideas with professionals, city officials and other members of the transportation community.
Transport Chicago’s 2012 conference will be held on Friday, June 1, in downtown Chicago. This year’s program features speakers Tilly Chang – deputy director for planning at the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, and William Millar – former president of the American Public Transportation Association.
Among other topics, this year’s conference will include presentations on Chicago’s new bike lane initiatives, safe cycling at intersections and pedestrian safety.
