Randy,

What is the deal with the pedestrian bridge over the Chicago River on the east side of lower Lake Shore Drive? It was closed this morning and I heard from another rider that, according to a worker there, a large section of the walkway had fallen out to the ground (30-40 ft.) over night.

Is this true?

They had the overpass shut down today and riders, runners and walkers were forced to go into the street. It was a mess.

Any word on what happened and when itt will be repaired?
