BLT Thanks

My wife and I rode the Beverly tour yesterday and enjoyed it immensely. We liked seeing parts of the city that we have either forgotten or never seen. I loved seeing the small crowd gathered around a tamale vendor on the east side!

My only complaints are very minor - just west of the South Shore Cultural Center, there was about a 2 block stretch where the road was narrow, busy, and drivers and pedestrians seemed to taunt the riders. (I had 1 pedestrian stop in front of me, daring me to hit him and another looked and waited until I was next to the car to open the door - I recognized the "look" and was ready.) The other complaint concerned signage at the end. The Plaisance was so crowded and busy, the street markings were impossible to see. Next year, we will know the route and it won't matter.

Oh yes, the bathroom in the Hotel Florence was a bit small for the number waiting in line, but this was not a time trial race, so no big deal.

Overall, we loved the ride and look forward to it again next year! We will reride part of the route and take pictures shortly.

And Boulevard Lakefront Tour
