Update Your Emergency Contact Info (and pass it on)

Did you know that the state of Illinois keeps records of everyone’s emergency contacts in a database? Make sure you update this in case of an emergency. Only law enforcement will be able to access this information once you have entered it and they will use it only in the case of an emergency where you may not be able to communicate with them directly.

It’s a painless, 5 minute process that you can do online at http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/drivers/ecd/home.html.

Recently I was in a crash, and when I went to the hospital they asked me if Dana Gallagher was still my emergency contact. While my mother in Texas should probably be notified if there is an emergency, I’d much rather they notify my husband first!

Update your info and pass it on!
