Show your support for bikeway projects coming this spring

We’ve been talking for months now about the many miles of protected bike lanes that will be coming to Chicago. The first two miles on Kinzie Street, 18th Street and Jackson Boulevard were a great success last year, kicking off an exciting bike renaissance in Chicago.

But starting this spring, construction will begin on an additional 21 miles of protected bike lanes, buffered bike lanes and neighborhood greenways!

Check out Chicago Department of Transportation’s list of proposed 2012 projects.

Speak up to show your support!

If you live near one of the proposed projects, please contact your alderman to let them know you support it and thank them for helping to make it happen!

If there isn’t a protected bike lane proposed for your neighborhood, please contact your alderman to ask them put one in! (Find your alderman.)
