New Livable Communities Task Force
Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) recently announced the creation of a new Livable Communities Task Force in the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Blumenauer is one of the most bike-friendly members of Congress. This new initiative will help Congress identify ways in which the federal government can be a better partner in enhancing quality of life.
Rep. Debbie Halvorson (D-IL) is a charter member of the Task Force. Her membership in the Task Force demonstrates a commitment to helping her sprawling district maintain its livability in the midst of fast growth.
