In an effort to update their five-year master plan, the Forest Preserve District of Kane County (FPDKC) is asking Kane County residents to participate in a survey.
Help ensure that people who bike and walk are fully represented. Give feedback on preserve amenities, recreation opportunities, nature programs, usage and what FPDKC can do to improve your overall satisfaction with the preserves.
Share your thoughts, experiences and concerns with this survey in order to help improve the county's system of forest preserves.

Trail Use
It has been wonderful to see the use that the Fitchie Creek trail gets. My family bikes and runs on it. It's a great community asset. The new Bowes Creek Woods isn't even complete yet and we (and many others) are already enjoying it. Many horseback riders also use both trails and I was trying to find out if there is a rule about horses staying on one side of the trail and bikers and runners on the other. It's great for everyone to enjoy the trails but the screenings get really dug up by the horses hooves. We've twisted ankles in the divets and riding a bike is like being on a washboard. The park district does groom the trails at times. The trails are for everyone to enjoy but bikes on the right and horses on the left would be nice.
