Steve, Marissa and I went to Wheaton on Thursday to meet with City of Wheaton staff and check out by bike some of the recommended streets and roads for the Bike Plan we are working on for them. What a great day! Wheaton has so many beautiful streets, parks, schools, people and BIKE RIDERS! It was fun to see so many people and of all different ages.
Attached are a few pictures of our trip to Wheaton. You can tell that we are carefully studying the streets but also just riding to get a sense of the traffic. We also took some pictures of people riding in Wheaton. Enjoy!

sure hope you had a look at
sure hope you had a look at Leask Lane. It is a beautiful winding road that travels between the Danada Forest Preserve and the Morton Arboretum. Unfortunately there isn't a paved shoulder and in many areas the gravel shoulder is non existent. Adding to cycling danger are the many wooded turns which limit sight lines of the people in cars. There is a cycling shop and club that originates just across the street and many residents would love to access the forest preserve on bike.
Thank you
