The fifth edition of the Chicagoland Bike Map is now available!

The fifth edition is here! Get ready for more connections, trails and coverage than any Chicagoland bike map before. The new edition features

  • Expanded coverage to the north (up to Lake Geneva!) and south (all the way to the Midewin Prairie in Grundy County)
  • More trail and on-street biking networks for you to explore.
  • Icons for all the bike shops in the region
  • Historic military sites

The Chicagoland Bike Map is free with Active Trans membership.

Join or renew today! And, for a limited time, Active Trans members can buy a copy for only $5. Contact Rebekah Broussard, our membership director, for more information at rebekah@activetrans.org.

Make sure your trip is safe and fun!

Local bike shops or retailers interested in carrying our map should contact Lexco Bicycle Parts & Accessories.

The map would not be possible without support from the Tawani Foundation. Find out more about military points of interest included in the map here.

Volunteer for the 2013 Chicagoland Bike Map

Active Transportation Alliance is producing a new edition of its acclaimed Chicagoland Bike Map. Our map is produced using a variety of resources, most notably first-hand volunteer reporting. Therefore, we need lots of volunteers to take part in the street study and verify the routes in Chicagoland that are best suited for cycling. Sign up to volunteer using our registration site.
