As an occasional transit rider and a full-time transit geek, I can't believe I missed the news about new routes being added to the Chicago Transit Authority's bus tracking system, particularly
The Chicago Transit Authority announced today that they are buying 58 new hybrid buses using funds from the federal economic recovery bill. The new buses are expected to be in service this fall.
The underpass at Solidarity Drive should be completed in the next two weeks.
The Lakefront Trail patch and repair project for 2009 is currently out to bid. The large sections of missing pavement between North Avenue and Oak Street are the highest priority in this project.
